Business description
Advent Business Sales is pleased to offer tothe market this well established and growing
soft furnishings business.
The current owner established the business
3½ years ago, during which time sales have
increased year on year.
More recently, high profile high quality
retailers within Leicestershire have been
requesting display boards from our client.
This will invariably lead to further sales.
Prior to the display boards, our client has
been serving residential dwellings, which are
above average in both size and value.
As people in larger homes and four bed
houses improve their interior, our client has
been successfully in enhancing its
reputation.
The vendor has reluctantly decided to sell in
order to spend time with her children, who
live in various parts of the world.
Our client specialises in quality materials
and fabrics for curtains, blinds and pelmets
which accounts for 80% of sales.
In addition, they source in fabric, made to
measure suites and take on some upholstery
jobs.
The business is offered for sale together with
the valuable ranges of catalogues, which at
cost were purchased at approximately
£30,000.
Our client offers a large comprehensive and
popular design ranges.
Nine display boards have recently been
supplied to a furniture retailer. The retailer
will take orders on behalf of our client and
in return receive a 10% commission.
Negotiations are in place with several other
quality high profile retailers within
Leicestershire. This is an area that could
quite easily double sales and offers a new
owner to reap the rewards of a growing and
profitably business.
The owner is willing to conduct an in depth
2 week hand over period followed by 1 day
per month. The owner is also prepared to
train any required staff for the new owner.
At present, the business employs two part
time staff. The owner is looking to take
more staff on as sales are increasing.
The vendor of the business owns the freehold
property. Hence the vendor has
acknowledged that they have a genuine
vested interest to see a new owner take off
to a flying start.
This soft furnishings business is different in
that it caters for the high end and is not a
run of the mill furnishings business.
The vendor is currently in the process of
building a separate retail unit next door.
Their intention was to expand and use both
units, which a new owner could as the
business, grows from the momentum it has
gathered.
