This is a unique opportunity to aquire a highly profitable and successful import and distribution company, selling brand name exclusive games to the retail leisure industry, education authorities and garden centres.Established in 2002, the company imports and distributes a comprehensive range of games all of which are part of a well known brand, with individual trademarks and patents being associated to some of the games.
The business runs on low overheads, good cashflow and high profit margins. It has a regular and increasing revenue, generated by a blue chip, repeat, client base.
Products are sourced from the Far East, where exclusive factory agreements have been secured to protect the brand. The company has their own moulds for their games, which are kept, and used at these selected factories. This allows the company to repeat order the product, whilst reducing their lead times for product delivery.
The range of products is displayed in the yearly catalogue, which the company produces. These include a branded selection of both indoor and outdoor games
Key Strengths:
The business is well established and profitable. It has a track record of generating strong and stable cash flow through the economic cycle. Main peak times of the year are April through to August, with a healthy amount of Christmas business.
The companies ordering process is simple. They select and design one range of products, for each year and place a main order for the season, of their core products, with their factories. After visiting the two main trade buying shows, further repeat orders are placed on the back of secured contracts. Lead times are approximately ninety days from order to delivery.
The business out-sources all of its warehousing and distribution. Goods arrive directly into the external distribution warehouse from the Far East. The product is then delivered via carrier to their clients. Stocks of all major lines are kept in the warehouse, for repeat orders placed throughout the season. Records of past years sales are kept for reference.
The company has an extremely enviable base of blue chip clients, ranging from large departmental stores, educational authorities, mail order companies and multiple garden centres throughout the UK. All of their clients are able to view the new ranges of games at the two national buying fairs each year and the company backs their offering by producing an annual colour catalogue and price list for further reference.
