tanning salon, which has established a loyal
following within the last two years.
The current vendor has been in constant
ownership since its inception but is now
selling due to other business commitments.
To start the business, our client completely
rebuilt the inside of the property to suit the
needs of a tanning salon.
The décor and layout, as well as the
equipment, is of a very high standard.
Two of the tanning rooms are equipped with
225 watt large sun beds; the other four
rooms have vertical tanning equipment –
240 watts.
As well as these all over tanning rooms,
another room is set aside for a leg tanning
machine, which was specially imported from
the USA and is unique.
The tanning salon also offers nail care,
which has just started. Early results indicate
a good take up of this facility. Also on offer
are the home 240 watt sun beds for £110 for
4 weeks and stepper exercise machines for
£25 for 4 weeks. This has, so far, added
approximately £6,000 in the first 4 months
with many beds being hired for more than 2
months.
The salon has a register of 800 customers,
which is constantly being reviewed but with
10,000 houses in the close proximity, there
will always be customers.
The salon is regularly in the local paper that
goes to 50,000 houses. It is also in the
Thompson Local and advertised in a local
Indian restaurant/takeaway menus and
flyers.
Stock at cost is approximately £500.
The husband and wife team staffs the
business only.
The salon has CCTV and also a 24 hour
monitor.
