The pub, which dates back to 1577, has been
in the careful ownership of our client for 16
years and is only now being reluctantly
offered for sale as he plans to retire.
The business has a 34 cover restaurant,
which offers a traditional style extensive
menu, which is very realistically priced. Sales
overall have a 60/40 split wet/dry with
annual sales of approximately £285,000 and
a gross profit of circa £125,000.
The business also has 3 letting rooms, which
are currently charged out for £30 per person
for any night of the week.
The pub has 3 darts teams, 1 crib team and
an Aunt Sally team. In addition, the lions
and army vehicle association meet once a
month and the folk club meets every
Wednesday night. As the pub has such a
huge garden, they have a bouncy castle on
permanent hire during the summer to attract
the children. Once a year also a folk festival
is held, which brings customers from all
