The business was established in July 2001.
It involves the making of clerical stoles, in a wide range of designs. Most are machine embroidered, but a handful of designs involve hand embroidery or applique.
The machine embroidered designs are done using an automatic embroidery machine (Brother Super Galaxie 3000) which is to be included in sale.

I am selling due to family & other work commitments. I don’t have the time to commit to the business or to help it grow, particularly after having my daughter last year. Over the last couple of years I’ve also been working on another business I own, which has taken up a lot of my time & has meant that I’ve not had the time to work on building the textiles business & have therefore stopped advertising & have had to turn work away at times. I haven’t advertised in the press for around two years, so the orders I’ve received have been from past customers, word of mouth or internet search engine referrals. We have a good ranking position on Google.

The business can be run from anywhere, I have worked from a room at home for the last 7 years.

There is huge untapped potential for the business to grow in what is a very niche market. Options include extending the range beyond stoles to make other church textiles including chasubles, altar cloths, etc. Outworkers could also be employed so more orders can be taken on.
